Welcome to the new Diocesan Website. We hope you find it useful and informative. It is built using a content management system that will allow the Good News Bureau (formerly the Diocesan Communications Committee) to keep you informed about what is happening in the diocese without having to use any expensive web design software.

You will find current news by clicking on the categories in the Main Menu on the left. Also, you will find a list of parishes and important forms and resources as PDF Documents. Diocesan bodies will also begin posting minutes and notes, so you can keep up with the business of the diocese.

This is just one of the many steps the Good News Bureau is doing to enhance communications in the diocese. We are sending frequent emails chock full of news in a graphical nature. Soon you will be able to subscribe to these newsletters from this site.

We are also working with diocesan officers and bodies to use web conferencing tools to save on travel costs and be more proactive in their decision making processes. These tools include Skype for video and phone conferencing over the internet, iVisit for video meetings, and the development of forums for asynchronous communications. 

Another goal is to develop the resources from the diocesan website to allow us to offer online classes for spiritual growth and education. 

As you can see, the Good News Bureau is working hard to leverage the internet to improve communications and help us to act in much more "green" ways.
